This upcoming election is for Council member Seats Two (#2) and Four (#4).    

2026 Municipal Election - Candidate Information                       

ELECTION QUALIFYING RESULTS QUALIFIED CANDIDATES:

City Council Seat 2

When two or more candidates qualify for a council seat, their names must be placed on the regular election ballot in alphabetical order under that specific council seat. Council seats must appear on the ballot in numerical order, pursuant to Section 8.05 of the Maitland City Charter.

City Council Seat 4

Bill Randolph - UNOPPOSED  

Pursuant to Section 8.03(a) of the Maitland City Charter, when only one person qualifies as a candidate for a designated council seat, that candidate is declared elected without the necessity of being placed on the ballot. Accordingly, Mr. Randolph is deemed elected to City Council Seat 4, and will assume office in accordance with the charter.

VOTER REGISTRATION, VOTE-BY-MAIL and EARLY VOTING 

The Orange County Supervisor of Elections Office will begin Vote-by-Mail voter certificate signature comparison on ballots received for the March 10, 2026, City of Maitland General Municipal Election, starting on February 9, 2026, at 10 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m.. Signature comparison times may vary based on volume. Signature comparison on ballot materials, including cure affidavits, will continue each business day, up to and including Election Day, on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, and will be conducted continuously until the first unofficial results are obtained. Interested parties may make a reservation at the Orange County Supervisor of Elections website at OCSOE


Voter registration books will close on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. for the upcoming March 10, 2026, Maitland General Municipal Election.  Maitland residents who wish to participate in this election must be on the Orange County books before the cut-off date.

Maitland residents may register or update their Voter Registration online at  RegisterToVoteFlorida.gov

Vote-by-mail call Orange County Supervisor of Elections (OCSOE) at (407) 836-2070 or online at ocfelections.com/vote-by-mail. The last day to request a vote-by-mail ballot is Thursday, February 26, 2026.  Please note that vote-by-mail requests expire after each federal general election cycle. Therefore, all vote-by-mail requests expired on December 31, 2024.  To continue to receive vote-by-mail ballots, you must submit a new vote-by-mail request each general election cycle. 

Early voting is scheduled to begin Monday, March 2, 2026 at 7:00 a.m. and continue daily ending at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2026.. For more information visit the  OCSOE.

The polling places are accessible to handicapped voters. 

LOGIC AND ACCURACY TESTS

The Orange County Supervisor of Elections will conduct public, pre-election tests of the automatic tabulating equipment used at the polls for Maitland's General Municipal Election on March 10, 2026. 

The tests will be conducted in the Orange County Supervisor of Elections Warehouse, located at 119 West Kaley Street, Orlando, Florida, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026.

The tests are open to the public and you are welcome to attend.
