Maitland Middle School_OCPS Resource Officer Washington (left) and Lake Sybelia Elementary Resource Officer Reardon are attending the Florida Association of School Resource Officers’ 43rd Annual School Safety Training Conference this week in Orlando.
Both will participate in the advanced SRO course offered at the conference.
Special congratulations to Officer Washington, who also will be one of only 3 law enforcement officers among 1,000 conference attendees to receive the State of Florida Attorney General’s SRO practitioner award.
FASRO is the largest school policing organization in the country with over 800 members. Conference participants include sheriffs, chiefs of police (both municipal and school district), command staff members of these organizations, line supervisors, school resource officers/deputies, school safety specialists (school district level), guardians, school principals and administrators.
