Ridgewood Area Sewer Project

Sewer Project

City contractors are working to repair aging underground sewer pipelines in the Ridgewood area of Maitland.

The project aims to clean out clay pipelines and remove any invasive tree roots or other blockages. Then the inside of the pipes is sealed with a PVC liner.

The process strengthens the pipes and seals any cracks. It also extends the life of the pipes for up to 50 years without requiring extensive digging to install new pipes.

Crews worked this week on sewer pipes along Lyndale Boulevard. Other impacted streets will include Ridgewood Avenue, Magnolia Road, Orange Place, Tangerine Place and Alpine Drive.

This phase of the project is expected to finish in about 4 weeks. Sewer service to neighborhood homes will not be impacted. Equipment will partially block streets during work, so motorists should use extra caution and proceed slowly around work sites.
