City-contracted haulers are completing residential yard debris collections from Hurricane Milton. Residents must have large piles of loose yard debris at the curb by 7 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7. Final collections are expected by the weekend.
IMPORTANT: Loose yard debris must not be mixed with non-vegetative material.
Haulers will pick up dead and dried yard debris caused by Hurricane Milton. Freshly cut yard debris must be bagged, bundled or placed in containers for Waste Pro’s weekly yard waste collection on Wednesdays. Tree limbs should be tied together in bundles measuring no longer than 4 feet. Bags and containers should weigh no more than 50 pounds each.
Storm debris haulers will pick up only large yard debris piles. Small amounts of yard debris must be bagged, bundled or placed in containers for Waste Pro collections.
Aside from curbside pickups, city contracted crews also are removing broken and hanging limbs from trees above streets and other public areas. This work is expected to be completed within two weeks.
