Public Records and E-Mail
Please be advised that under Florida law (Florida Senate Bill SB 80 - effective July 1, 2006) E-mail addresses are public records and are not exempt from public-records requirements. If you do not want your e-mail address to be released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact this office by telephone (view phone directory) or in writing, via the United States Postal Service.
You are not required to provide personal information to visit this site, download its publications, or utilize other features. The City collects no personal information about you when you visit the City of Maitland's site unless you choose to provide this information. The City does, however, collect statistical data to track visitor use and site activity.
If you choose to provide personal information, as in an e-mail to City staff, or by filling out a form with your personal information and submitting it to us through the City's website, we use that information to respond to your message and to help us provide the information you have requested. We respond to e-mail the same way we respond to letters sent to City offices. We are required to maintain many documents for historical purposes, but we do not collect personal information for any purpose other than to respond to you. However, information we receive may be considered public information which is subject to disclosure under Florida law.
